a little hideout

I’ve got a bookworm birdie in my house.

It’s my first time making a plush, so all things considered I think he turned out pretty nicely! Just gotta get the shape a little better next time, aha.

He’s made of fleece (the body/wings) and felt (the beak) with buttons for eyes and fabric paint for the blue outline around said eyes. I used fabric marker for the dark feather markings. His necktie is really just a ribbon I folded and glued together in a vague tie-shape. I should probably have figured out a more reliable way to do this, but it works.

He’s also extremely huggable so I’m gonna call it a victory.

Because bird form plushies are definitely a requirement for cosplay, right?

He still needs a beak. And eyes. And feather and eye markings. And stuffing. Maybe a necktie. Possibly a tail. I’m not sure a mourning dove tail would look too great with this design though… What do you all think?

get off your high hato: Hitori/Haseo (.//Hack G.U.) similarities?

so i was looking at Hitori’s fantasy AU outfit and it seriously resembled an arabic version of Haseo’s first form outfit, even to the point of having two long, pointed weapons(which resemble his third form outfit more than the first but oh well)

and i was thinking that it was really kind of…

Wow, I didn’t even make that connection. I’m thinking it’s prooobably coincidence, but yeah, Nageki’s VA did a lead role and a couple of side roles for the series (.Hack//SIGN’s Tsukasa, .Hack//games as Elk, and a .Hack//Roots bit character Cashmere).

While Haseo does spend the majority of the time looking for Shino, that’s pretty much where the parallel ends =P Shino does have a “dark” version, but it’s mostly because she switches from liking Ovan who dresses in white and turns her affection towards Haseo, who is known for wearing black. She later falls into a coma which Haseo strives to free her of, but… the conclusion turns out quite a bit differently from Hitori and Nageki’s story.

SO IN CONCLUSION I love .hack and it would be super cool if they were actually intended parallels but I’m fairly sure it’s just coincidence. It’s still kind of fun to think about though \o/ Someone should go and draw Hitori and Haseo in costume swaps, go go go!
